Ohio Local History Alliance
OHS Local History Office, 800 E. 17th Ave., Columbus, OH 43211-2497
The Ohio Local History Alliance, founded in 1960, is an independent entity that works in close partnership with the Ohio Historical Society. Both share a common goal of encouraging the preservation and presentation of Ohio's heritage, and work collaboratively toward that end. The OHS Local History Office administers and coordinates all Alliance programs, but the Alliance, through its board of trustees, provides directional leadership and oversight of those programs. The Alliance serves as a gateway to the vast cultural resources in the state and lists its members on its website, including the MHS.
